COMPLETE CHANCE AT THE MATINEE. "THE STEPPING STONE." "The Stepping Stone," a tip-top Triangle "feature" drama, heads the new programme to he introduced at Everybody's' this afternoon. The story relates how a young city clerk gets on in the world through the 'brave assistance, encouragement and influence of his devoted wife. A millionaire sharebraker even pushes the young clerk on until lie becomes a prominent man about town. Then the husband loses his head, and seeks to discard his wife, who has been his stepping-stone to success. The millionaire discovers the husband's infamous ingratitude, and tears him down from the pedestal lie has raised him to The theme is artistically developed and works up to a pleasing climax. There is also a side-splitting comedy, and tho Gaumonc Graphic is brimful of tip-to-date and interesting happenings in Europe and America.
