Received Feb. 18, 11.50 p.m. London, Eel). 14. > Field-Marshal Sir Douglas Raig reports:—We captured a strong point soutli-east of Grandecourt, and penetrated 250 yards into the defences northeast of Arras, reaching the third line. Many were killed in the dug-outs, Which they refused to leave. Our casualties were very light. I We entered the enemy lines northward of the Somme, north-east of Ypres. The enemy attempted a raid eastward of Arment'iercs and south-west of Messines, but was repulsed. W T e exploded three ammunition camps eastward of Armentieres.
