"TIIE SI-XTIMENTAL BLOKE." To-night at the Good Templar Ttall Messrs ,T. and X. Tait will present Mr, Lawrence Campbell, the well-known elocutionist and entertainer, in C. .T. Dennis' work, "The Sentimental Bloke," an Australian idyll that has received most, flattering reviews from the pre* oi every English-speaking country, ami cc.pies of the hook may br- found in the workmen's cottage or my ladv's boudoir. Of the fourteen songs which are publish- i od in hook form Mr. Campbell in his re- I citals include,; thirteen in his evening's piogramme, which open? with "A Spring ..Seng,'' then in succession follow "The Intro/' Bill's formal meeting of his Do- 1 reon, "Dorccn," his affinity, "The Play," Bill's opinion of Borneo and .Juliet, "Tito Stror 'At Coot," "The .Siren" and "Mar," a sketch of mother-in-law. After the interval the audience is introduced to the "Pilot Cove,'' to be followed by "Hitched," a term applied to the wedding ceremony; "Beef Tea" explains the first and last lapse after marriage; in "Uncle Jim" Bill finds a pal, and. "Thr ICid" is the joint property of Bill and Doreen. The last song, "The Mooch o' Life," finds Bill in philosophic mood mid makes a lilting final for an excellent evening's entertainment. Only three recitals will be given in New Plymouth, and the box plan of reserved seats for the season is now open at 11. Collier and iVs.
