FATHER CAIIILL. (From Our Own Correspondent)". The Rev. Father Call ill, wlio recently resigned the control of tlie Catholic denomination in Eitham, has been presented with a handsome address by the children of the school. The.text of the address is as follows:—"To Rev. Father Cahil.—Dear Rev. Father, —We, the pupils of the Eitliam Convent School, assemble 1 o-day to express the deep regret which fills "oar hearts at the thought of your departure from amongst us. Knowing that God ordains everything for the best, we try to he reconciled to His design?, but at the same time \vc feel deeply the loss of a kind and devoted pastor who lias always taken a keen interest in our welfare, spiritually and temporarily. The enlargement of the church and its removal to the scenic site 011 which it now stands is a lasting monument to vouv zeal, whole-hearted, unselfish devotion to duty. Whilst deeply regretting the present sacrifice which calls you to another field of labor, we are happy to know that you will still be near your grateful children. Wish - ing you every success in the great work you are now about to undertake for the honor and glory of the good (iod, and begging the favor of a remembrance in your prayers, .we are happy to remain, dear l!ev. Father, your grateful and affectionate children in .Testis Christ, the pupils of the Kltham Catholic School, February 10, 1!)17." The work was entrusted to Mr. J. McAllister, of Stratford, and reflect.? great credit on that gentleman, and should serve to remind the Rev. Father Cahill of his happy years with ?he young folk
