TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

I Tlie executive committee of the Tarnj naki Agricultural Society is sparing no J effort to make the forthcoming show, to bo held on its splendid new grounds at Waiwakaiho, a greater success than anv previous show, and both patrons anil exhibitors can depend on everything being done for their comfort and convenience. Provision is being made for the careful handling of all stock, and an abundant supply of fodder will be provided, so that with the warm weather we should he getting at the' end of this month exhibitors should feel no anxiety or. account of their animals. All train? convoying stock to the show 'will be jncfc at the Smart road station by members of a specially-appointed committee. Exhibitors who cannot get to the show themselves, but who would like to send exhibits, are advised that the Society is prepared to hiceb the animals and convey them to suitable paddocks ami thence to the showgrounds. After the , show the animals wiil be consigned back 'to the owners. Exhibitors forwarding ; stock are reminded to send the neeesnary railway certificates so as to get the freight- rebate. Intending exhibitors are asked to note that in class li/O, crossbrods, two heifers born since July 1, 1915, the prize money should read |BCI and 10s.

Mr. Newton King has generously donated as a challenge trophy a - 2d-guinea silver cup for most- points scored in Holstein classes, and the Taranaki Herald have also donated specials of £2 2s and &\ Is in the hoys' cow-judging competition.

Entries for all classes close definitely on Saturday, February 17, and schedules may he obtained free on application to the secretary, 'P.O. 'box 19, New Plymouth.
