WATERSIDE WORKERS By Telegraph.—Pr«s» Association. Wellington, Feb. 3. In connection with the waterside trouble, an emergency meeting of the Harbor Board was held. The business wa9 taken in committee. The Harbor Board deliberated in committee nearly two hours, and, on resuming in open board, the following resolution, passed in oommittee, was approved:— "That this Board endorses the action of its representatives in referring the reecnt demands and conditions of the Waterside Workers' Federation to the Conciliation and Arbitration Court." GiAornc, Fob. 3. When Mr. Stubbing, employers' representative, attended at noon, as is customary, to engage labor for working the stealers Monowai and Arahura on Sunday, no labor was offering. This work has been hitherto much sought after, owing to the remuneration of Ss Od per hour, The work of loading timber for Sydney on the Joan Craig was suspended at noon to-day, the men declining to workon Saturday afternoons.
