PERSONAL.

Mr. and Mrs. F. W. G. McLeod and Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Brooker leave this week on a holiday trip to Tc Aroha and Rotorua.

Mr. H. J. H. Okey, M.P., has returned tn New Plymouth after accompanying the Parliamentary party on the tour of the. north.

Mr. Austin Bewley, solicitor, who has volunteered for active service, leaves for camp on April 30.

Mr. A. 11. Johnstone returned from the North on Saturday evening. Upon his return Mr. Johnstone offered his servicer, for the front, but failed to pass the medical examination.

Police-Tnspector Fouhy returned on Saturday evening from Dunedin, where he had been on relief duty. He leaves New Plymouth in a few days to take up his new duties at Auckland.

Mr. Justice Edwards arrived in New Plymouth by the mail train on Saturday evening, and will preside at the Supreme Court sessions, which open to-day. Mr A. Cartwright, of the Moa Dairy Company's staff, who is leaving for camp to-day, was presented by the. man ager of the company, Mr. W. M. Ross, with a wristlet watch on behalf of tne factory employees. Captain J. B. Rogers, of the 4th Waikato Mounted Rifles, who is by profession a solicitor, has been appointed as a military representative at the sittings of the Military Service Boards in the Auckland district.
