The Turks lost heavily, in endeavoring to regain the lost ground, erecting a, barricade of corpses against the UrifM bombers. There was a fierce struggle at the Hair River, and the rroncho? repeatedly changed hands before the Turks were defeated. : i " ITALY TUNNELS THROUGH SNOW. Rome, Jan. 30 Jr order to re-establish communications with some points on .the Italian f'.ont it has been necessary to pierce tnunels for 500 yards through vahnches of snow.
