At the Police Court to-day, Albert McQueen and A. J. W. Roberts appeared on a charge of attempted prisonbreaking. McQueen, who was consideied to be the ringleader, was sentenced. to lose marks equivalent to 12 months' remission and Roberts to lose si\" months' marks. Both men iwcre ordered to be placed on bread and water for 14 , days and to be kept in separate divii sions until further orders. ' ANTI-SHOUTING FIXES. Auckland, Last Night. Lindsay Cooke, the licensee of the Queen's Ferry Hotel, was fined £2") for permitting "shouting" on 'the premises.
