Mr. Pearca warns the public the enemy's new method of endeavoring to obtain information of the financial and political circumstances of the dominions. Letters have been intercepted from a German woman, giving the 10111 do plume of "Mr*. (Stuart Crostur," from an hotel in Switzerland, addressed to inipuentinl people in various dominions seeking information of the conditions of work. IMPERIAL WAR COUNCIL. REPRESENTATION IMPERATIVE. Received 27, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, January 27. Mr. IT'iighes, commenting on Mr. Jioyd George's interview, states thath owing to the doubt as to what the Confcrem\o will deal with, lie had hitherto purposely refrained from expressing- any opinion. The necessity of direct representation was now clear, and it was imperative that Australia should be directly represented.
