HAWERA PICNICS.
AT KAWAROA AND NGAAIOTU. A special train convoying over 730 Hawera and Normanby Sunday school children and their teachers and parents arrived in New Plymouth at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. About 400 of the party consisted of Methodist children and adherents from Hawera, and they repaired to Kawaroa Park, where a delightful time was spent picnicking in the shade of the graceful pohutukawa trees. Bathing r.:ul games were indulged in. Many of the picnickers visited the Park for the lirst time, and they were loud in their praise of the lovely grounds and of the work that had been done by the Park Committee. Members of the 'Presbyterian Sunday schools of Hawera and Normanby proceeded to t'ne Ngamotu beach. After lunch, games were organised and the children were given a rolicking time on the bea«h.
