THE FORTHCOMING SHOW. his year's- Taranaki Metropolitan Society's show should prove one of the most interesting yet held by the Society. The new show grounds at the Wi'iwakaiho are now almost ready 'or the reception of the valuable stock that will occupy them next month. Some of the best cattle in the North Island from various owners' herds will no competing and the judges will have an anxioiH two days. The exhibition of freezers and fats this year will be an exceptional feature, and we do not hesitate to say that never before has such an exhibit been shown in Taranaki. It will be worth while for everybody to come specially to see the prime beef tnat Taranaki is now growing. Special train arrangements have been made for both days, the usual 4.20 train. hav';ng been delayed till 0 p.m. on the Wednesday, and on People's Day (Thursday) arrangements the same as last year have been made. Luncheon and afternoon tea can be had on the ground. An electric tram service will be running every 15 minutes from Egmont Street r.o within a few minutes' walk of the ground. The \alue of our agricultural show in raising the grade of our produce is not denied, and those that bear the heat and burden of the toil in the promoting of them deserve the support of all classes of the community.
