The borough engineer (Mr W T. look) submitted an estimate 51 tn< cost of rot'onstriieting Carrington Road. The cost would "be £072 7s, including £<US for forming the road an average width of fill feet for 10 chains. If the path were kerbed tuul channelled, the cost would be increased by .-CBJ Tli; matter was deferred until <iext meeting.
The engineer suggested the r,dvisibility of having that portion oi .Onwaon Street between Powderham ami Bultcc! Streets tarred while tlio woi* of . impairs was in hand. The cost would oe approximately £3jo.—Deferred. The engineer was given authority to re-lay Devon Street, from Liardet Street to Robe Street-, in asphalt.
Mr. W. W. Thomson's application for the extension of the water service to liis residence in Moulton Strees was granted, provided Mr. Thomson contributed £lO towards the cost (£2l). A similar application with regard ic Vealo's Estate was deferred.
