POLICE PROMOTIONS.
INSPECTOR FOUHY GOES TO AUCKLAND. SUB-INSPECTOR McILVEXEY COHEi TO NEW PLYMOUTH. By Telegraph— Press Association. Wellington. .Tan. 20. The following police promotions and transfer* are reported:— Sub-Inspector Marsack, Palmcrston North, to be Inspector at Wellington; Senior-Sergeant Dew, Mount Cook, to he Sub-Inspector, Lambton Quay; Sub-Inpseetor McKinnon, Lambton Quay, is transferred to Palmerstoii North; Sergeant Creon, Thames, to he Senior-Sergeant, Mount ..ook, Wellington; Inspector Wilson, Wanganui, retire* with honorary rank of Superintendent, and is succeeded by Inspector Hendry, of Wellington, inspector Sheahan, of Auckland, transferred to Invercargill, and imeceeded at Auckland by Sub-Inspector Fouhy, of New Plymouth, promoted to Inspector; Sub-Inspector Mcllvcney, Auckland, transferred to New Plymouth; SeniorSergeant Mathieson, Chratelmre.li, promoted to Sub-Inspector; Senior-Sergeant Wohlmann, Waihi, lias been transferred to Christchurcli. Senior-Sergeant Wohlmann will he replaced by Sergeant Grady, promoted to the rank of SeniorSergeant; Sergeant Gafl'ney, Statistics Clerk, Lambton Quay, Wellington, has been promoted to Senior-Sergeant.
