MORE TRENCHES CAPTURED. COUNTER-ATTACK SMASHED. Received Jan. 12, 8 pm. * London, Jan. 12. Field-Marshal Sir Douglas Haig repotts:—We captured three-quarters of a mile of trench north-east of Beaumont Hamel. A counter-attack[ smashed successful raids eastward of - Armcntier'es and north-cast of Ypres to the neighborhood of Grandcourt. ENEMY ATTACK REPULSED. London, Jan. 11. A French communique states that an enemy attack at Boiß-des-Caurieres, Dn the right bank of the Meuse, was repulsed with serious enemy losses.
