VIOLENT SCENES. WALL STREET ASSAILED. Received Jan. 3, .10 p us, 1 Washington, Jan. 8. diving evidence in tlie Senate's investigation. Mr. T. S: Lawson, pacing up ar.d down before the committee, said that all the charges made ill the public press lie believed were true. One of the commonest things in Wall Street was the leakage ot Government and court affairs, which affected securities and was premeditated-and deliberate robbery of the American people through the stock gambler?. He added: "I came hero- to give honest testimony, but only to have hell lambasted out of me!"
Amid much uproar he declared: "I will not be bulldoged or intimidated!" He reiterated he Iqiew there was a leakage in regard to the Peace Note, and stated he had profited himself.
There were further 'violent scenes while Lawson was examined. He was frequently rebuked for his intemperate language. The committee adjourned until Tuesday. but meantime considers the question of committing Lawson for contempt of court. Lawson declared he did not care a curse what the committee did.
