25th REINFORCEMENTS. The New Plymouth quota if the 25th Reinforcements were f'arcw-.Oh-d at the railway station yesterday morning prior to their departure for cair.p The reenrts were served with refreshments by the Mayoress (Mrs. C. 11. Burgesp) and Miss Pardy, of the Women's Patriotic League, and given a gift parcel, At the railway station were a fair number, including members of the Patt >1 ie Committee, had gathered, the Mayor (Mr. C. H. Burgess; addressed the men.. He said an idea was held in tiime quarters that peace would be deciarcd before the 25th Rinforcements would be required. Whether this idea was correct or .not, the duty of every man was clear. Whether a member of the Expeditionary Force or not, there was work for everyone in the national | cause. The members of tl 25th? had a great example before them in the work lof the early reinforcement'-. He felt sure those he addressed would acquit themselves with credit. He wished them goodbye and Cod speed. hrte hearty cheers were given for the departing recruits. The Citizens' Band played the f> 'Mowing pieces: "Red, While and Blue.'' "The (iirl I Left Behind Mo," "The Marseillaise," "The Blue Ensign," "Anld Lang Syne," and the National Anthem. The recruits were in charge of Lieutenant C. M. Crutch. Their names are as follows: A.
