A TEAM FATALITY. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Melbourne, Jan. 8. A tram-car full of passengers got out of control oil an incline at Camberwell. It left the rails, crashed into a tree, and overturned. One passenger was killed and seventeen injured, and many others are suffering from shock. NATIONAL PARTY PROJECT. Melbourne, Jan. S. It- is understood that the negotiations between Mr, Hughes and Mr. Cook for the formation of a National Party have terminated, and .that further developments are postponed until the Liberal Party meets shortly before the reassembling of Parliament oil February It is generally agreed that Xfr. Hughes "will not attend the Imperial Conference. Indications point to a general election for botli Houses in April.
