FARMING OPERATIONS.

Touching the statement that men wh4 1 applied to the Wellington Labor Bureau for harvesting work found no farmers inquiring for such men, the Minister of Agriculture states they should havj no liitlioulty in getting work. The Department's field supervisors had been instructed to make enquiries, and they ropci'ted that labor undoubtedly WM scarce, but with proper co-operation formers could do all that was necessary, 'lhe (iovernment was considering tha qi.rstion of organising laliir throughout til'- Dominion, and hoped to havt 1 census returns dealing with the matter this month, when the position would be gone iiito thoroughly. SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES. Wellington, Last Night.
