STRATFORD RACES.

Record acceptances have been received for all events for the two days of the Stratford Racing Club's annual meeting on January 1 and 2. The racing public will be catered for in every way. Special excursion trains will be run, and train* will leave New Plymouth at 7.20 a.m.. 7.43 a.m., and 0.40 a.m. on Monday, and a special train will leave New 'Plymouth at 0.30 a.m. on Tuesday. Trains will also run from Wanganui, I-lawera, and Whangnmomona. Further particulars appear in the time-table published in the Daily News. On the ground everything possible is done for the comfort and convenience of visitors. The Wanganui Garrison Band will be present, and will enliven proceedings throughout the day. Everything points to a record success at this year's meeting.
