Abbott's rink (Fitzroy) Icwt tlie first to lionefield, who scored to 1 !■, and won the second, defeating London by I!) to IT. Ileal (West End) was beaten by Gordon in the first round, 22 to 18, and heat Fraser in the second, 1!) tr 11. Smith (Fitzroy) drew with Cellatl.v in the tirst round', 14 all, and iost. to Morsheadin the second, 28 to in. (.'odd ( Inglewood) beat Fraser in tile first round by 23 to 15, and McFarlane in the second by 21 to 9, O n Wednesday Abbott beat Bates in the third round by 2". to 14; he also beat Foster in the fourth round, 18 to L'l, and Corby in the iifth round, 20 to 11. Ileal beat McFarlnne by 28 to 22, Battle, by 30 to 20, and .Tones by 24 to 12. ('odd beat Battle 17 to 15, denes 22 to IS, and tied with Rymes, 21 all, Smith defeated Bourne by 2(1 to 14, Andrews 2S to 17, but lost to Laughton M to IS. At the conclusion of Wednesday's play, Abbott was at the head oi Section A with four wins, one loss, ('odd was leading Section U with four wins and one draw, Beirl being second with four wins and one loss.
