J HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. Wellington, Dee. 23 The High Commissioner reports under date London, December 25 (3.45 p.m.):—On the Egyptian front on Saturday afternoon our mounted troops carried a strong enemy position at 'Maghteabah, south-cast of El Arish, capturing 1130 prisoners, two guns, and a large quantity of arms and war material. The enemy casualties in killed and wounded were considerable.
