Dr. Hugo Munsterberg, the famoupsychologist, whose death was reported from New York this week, was. born '.u Danzig, Germany, in 1803. He graduated at the Danzig Gymnasium in 1882, and had a brilliant career at the universities of Leipzig and Heidelberg. H« left for America and took degrees lit Harvard, Washington, and Lafayette. He rilled the position of Professor at the University of Berlin, 1910-11. Prpfessor Munsterberg was vice-president of the International Congress of Arte and Sciences, held at St Louif in IUO4, during tho Exposition there. He was pre. of the American Psychological 'Association in 1808, and of the American i Philosophical Association, 100S, and was [a Fellow nf the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Hugo Munsterberg was the author of many works dealing with psychology, and was a contributor to many magazines and educational publications, and had been the editor of "Harvard Psychological Studios" sine* ISIO3.
