SERMAX& SURRENDER. London Dec. 11. An Ovogoro ';legram says that the German Gen » Wahle' attacked a small post .»+ fecminge in full force. After n hopeless and desperate resistance, the British retired, leaving prisoners. General Wahlo continued south and attacked Malingals, where Captain Marriot unexpectedly resisted for four days, when Colonel Murray's relieving force attacked the Hank and forced General Wahle back to Lupenlie. Col. Murray was reinforced, and pursued towards Mahenge, .killing Gl and taking S3 prisoners. After a strong pursuit General Wahle surrendered, with seven white officers, 47 men, and 2 ; 1'0 Askaris (i.e., carriers). A howitzer and three Maxims were captured, while a force detached by General Wahle earlier in the hope of enveloping General Northey was rounded upu at itembule. Captain Marriot was awarded, the Military Cross on the field.
