A PERTINENT POINT.
To the Editor, flir,—Replying; to the butter fat deputation the other day in Wellington., one of the gentlemen, in the course of hit remarks, said the land was owned in New Zealand by about sixty thousand, and he must protest the odd seven hundred thousand. Well, what I want to know is why support the latter! There are no big manufacturing towns in New Zealand. Nearly everything we use outside of foodstuffs is imported. In qppelusion, I might state I don't own any land, yet I pnv the butter fat lew.—-I am, etc., RENOWN
