1 • THE RUA CASES 3y Telegraph.—Press Association. , Rotorua, Last Night. j At the Magistrate's Court this afternoon Wi Hapi, who pleaded not guilty,was committed for trial on a charge of' attempting to defeat justice by secreting Mahia Hakeka, a witness in the trial of Pukcpuke Kanara, a Ruaite, at the Auckland Supreme Court, and sending him secretly from Auckland. Bail was allowed, accused in £3OO and two sureties (Europeans) ot £l5O each.
