By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dc. 7. Tlie Board decided that the case of Walter Scott be adjourned to a date not fixed, conditional on his going into camp and re-attesting. Krnest Short's appeal was adjourned sine die, so long as lie remains in hi. present occupation. If the lot falls o.i jim in a future ballot his case will coine before the Board again. Francis Joseph Procter (school teacheri and Charles Edward Procter (draper), brothers, of Island Bay, appealed on grounds of undue hardship and permanent unfitness. Both cases were adjourned till td-morrow to enable medical evidence to be jailed. Alfred Henry Barnett (barrister ana solitieor), of Wellington, appealed on the grounds of his occupation, undue hardship, and religious objections. Barnett said he would be over the military age rext June. The chairman remarked that if appellant went into camp he would be too good a physical specimen by that time to be discharged on the grounds of ego. The Board reserved decision for one month, to allow appellant to.,secure someone to take his place, and at the end of that period the appeal would be disallowed. Ilarry B. Harrison, officer in charge of a wireless station, was granted exemption. It. J. Denton appealed on behalf of Aithur Coupland Harding, an engineer's apprentice, on the ground of hardship. Ilarding had a special knowledge necessary for handling the Acetone Welding j.iai.t, which was often required for military work. The case was adjourned for a month to allow Harding to make a personal appeal. '! lie Board adjourned till to-morrow. The Military Service Board decided, in the case of Proctor brothers, who appealed on the ground that .they were bleeders, to hold over a decision until May, 1917, but if either of the brother, is drawn in the ballot another appeal will be necessary.
