I CREEK EXCUSES. ' IRREGULAR BANDS RESPONSIBLE. ERITISH GOVERNMENT NOT SATISFIED. Received Dec. 0, 8 p.m. London, Dec. fi. In the House of Lords, Lord. Crewe announced that since Lord Robert Cecil's statement a telegram from the Athens Minister reported that a certain degree of order hud been re-established. It had been ascertained that irregular armed hands attacked the Entente troops and Vcnizelists. These bands, including their nlr.ccrs, had been dismissed. Greek regulars are now guarding Athens. The Uiitish Minister advised that Britishers could go to the Piraeus with greater fi fity. Though he did not fear immediate danger to British life and property, the Government did not regard the situation as of less gravity, and was unshaken in its determination to fix the responsibility for Friday's events and assure their non-recurrence. The whole (lurstion involved military and naval considerations.
