BRITISH NAVAL CHANGES. CAUSE SENSATION IN GERMANY, Received Dec. 1, 11 p.m. Amsterdam, Dee. 1.
The British naval changes have caused a sensation m Berlin, which attributes them to the activities of German torr.edoers in the Channel. The Germans expected Mr. Balfour's resignation, and are surprised at Sir H. Jackson's transference. Sir David Be.itty's appointment has caused misgiv ings; his leadership in the Jutland battle compelled respect and fear. . ■ A VESSEL RELEASED. Received Dec. 1, 5.5 p.m. Amsterdam, Nov. SO. The Germans have released the Koningen Regentes (seized on November 10), an have opened an inquiry into the action of the crew in helping an English courier to hide a dispatch-box. (A wireless message from Amsterdam on November 11 stated that the Germans had conveyed to Zeebrugge the Dutch steamer Koningen Regentes, with 93 adult. passengers and 110 children aboard.) ANOTHER HUN. ATROCITY. London, Nov. 30. Lloyd's report that a large submarine sank, without warning, three Brixham fishing trawlers, and continued to fire on the boats after the trawlers had been abandoned. The crews were saved.
