THE CHINESE LOAN.
QUESTION OF SECURITY. PROTEST BY BANKS. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Received Dec. 1, 1.35 a.m. Pckin, Nov. 30. Some sensation has been caused by the unconditional -American loan to China of a million sterling. President Wilson supports the transaction. It was hoped that America would co-operate with the other Powers in insisting that China should create a security of permanent value with the. loan. A consortium of bunks has protested against the loan.
