BRITANNIC'S crew praised.
London, November 28. The Admiralty reports that it has received no proof whether the Britannic and Bracmar Castle were mined or torpedoed. The Vice-Admiral in the Eastern Mediterranean reports that the behaviour of the Britannic's crew was exemplary. Captain Bartlett was the last to leave and was 00 minutes in the water before he was picked up. AMERICAN STEAMER SUNK. Washington, November 2S. The American steamer Qhemung has been sunk on the Irish coast. The survivors have been landed. \
INQUIRIES ORDERED. Washington, November 28. Inquiries have been ordered into the sinking of the Chemung. She carried no munitions, though her cargo included copper, spelter and cotton. It is semi-officially stated that the loss of the Chemung may affect the attitude of the United States to Count Tarnowski, the Austrian Ambassador. FIFTEEN VESSELS SUBMARINED. Fifteen submarining were reported yesterday, including the City of Birmingham, 7408 tons; the Norwegian vessels, Visborg, 1311 tons, Eelle Isle, ISB3 tons, Trym, 1801 tons; the Greek vessel, Christofero3, 2343 tons, and the American vessel, Ohernung, 2615 tons. ARMED TRAWLER MISSING. London, November 2S. The Press Bureau issued a Berlin official message claiming that the German naval forces in the proximity of the British coast saiik a British watching vessel near Lowestoft and captured the crew, searched neutral steamers and returned without contact with the enemy.
The British Admiralty announces that the armed trawler Narval is missing, which is presumably the vessel mentioned.
