A PEACE LEAGUE.
VARIOUS MESSAGES. Australian Cable Association. Eeceived Nov. 26, 5.5 p.m. New York, Nop. 25. A league to enforce peace is starting a campaign to arouse the United States. It has received the following cable from M. Briand, French Premier: "In basing your efforts on the rights of various peoples you are on common ground with countries who are giving their blood for the independence of nations." Viscount Grey cabled: "I sincerely uesirfe to see a League of Nations formed to secure peace after this war." Herr von Bethmann-Hollweg has submitted the speech he made to the main committee of the Reichstag on November 9th, in which he. stated: "When the war was concluded and the immensity of the catastrophe Was realised there would be an outcry for peaceful settlements of future quarrels, and German" would •wist in that direction^
