GREECE.

THE ALLIES' DEMANDS. STRONG LETTER TO GREEK PREMIER. RESISTANCE ABANDONED. Received Nov. 20, 11.15 p.m, London, Nov. 2(5. The Daily Chronicle's Athens correspondent states that on the 14th a letter was sent to the Premier demanding ten batteries of mountain suns by December 1, the rest of the material being required by the loth. ,It emphasised the fact that the recent refusal does not accord with Greece's profession of benevolent neutrality, and contrasts the present circumstances with those whereunder the Bulgars, to whom Greece only professes neutrality, pure anil simple, seized the material and troops at Kavalla, concerning which Greece's protest was inadequate compensation foi the Entente. Tt points out that the delivery of the material now claimed cannot offend legitimate patriotism or international equity. As the arms were destined for use in the deliverance of soil watered by the most generous Hellenic blood, their place was not in the arsenals, but at Monastir and Macedonia, where the fate of all the Balkan States was being settled.

Athens Ministerial circles declare that the Government will resign if the Allies use coercion. Admiral cle Tom-net threatens a blockade and the landing of troops if h's demands are not met. A wireless message from Rome state? that the Greek Ministry, after examining afresh the Entente demands regarding the delivery of arms, has decided not to insist on resistance.
