GENERAL CABLES.
I'ATAL FIRE IN MONTREAL. Auslralian-N.Z. Cable Association. Received Nov. 23 11 p.m. Montreal, Nov. 22. Five were killed in a great office fire. Twenty were rescued from upper storeys. Many jumped, and were crushed to death, ALL-BRITISH ATLANTIC CABLE. Montreal, Nov. 22. Canadian newspapers are urging the Government to support the proposal for an Atlantic, cable, jointly owned by Canada, Australia, and Great Britain. The greatly improved ifinanci.il showing of the Pacific Cable is urged as justifying the State ownership of an Atlantic cable
