'JEXJiRAL. (From Our Own Correspondent). Mr. A. Potroz, well-known in the Mid'liir.rt district, lias received a letter irom Sister Mary lvers, of the Army Post Office, France, dated Nov. S, 1910: —Your son, Private A. Potroz, 2nd Wellington Reinforcements, was admitted here dangerously ill with gunshot wounds of the fight ley. He was operated on straight away and everything possible done to save his life, but his wounds and what he had gone through before be came here was too much for him. He was conscious till the end. T. Lamason's sale is advertised for Saturda.v, when he will sell a quantity of corrugated iron, timber, etc., on behalf of the proprietors of the new picture theatre, and a quantity of valuable furniture on behalf of other clients.
