MR. KELLAND AND THE ANTICHRIST.

Sir, —When Mr. Kelland set out to identify Germany as the beast and the Kaiser the anli-Christ, he evidently overlooked" the fact that the first ten verses of Rev. 13 were fulfilled by pagan Rome and its successor. This is the power that waged war against the saints of God, and, overcoming them, they died. Isolated and scattered in the Dark Ages in mysterious Babylon for 12(i() years, it monopolised and created a famine in wheat and oil, or truth, light, and iherty. the Word of the. Lord, that no man should buy or sell, only those that had the mark or the number of his name, I have seen it interpreted seniewherc thus: That no man should barter his religion.'' He should have no iving as a religious man. At all events, it has proved itself to be a very worthy successor to that persecuting power. All students of prophecy are agreed that its number is COB in the Hebrews, the Greek, and the Latin.
