DRIVERS' TROUBLE.
MINERS' SUPPORT PROMISED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ' Wellington, Last Night. There is no sign yet of a settlement in the drivers' trouble. Employers in the carrying trade, met to-day, but no decision was reached and the conference continues to-morrow, when a definite conclusion is expected to be reached. The, Drivers' Union representatives from other centres meet to-morrow night to* discuss the situation. Mr. Scmple, Miners' Federation Inspector, has just returned from Australia, and says he is confident that tha miners will throw in their lot with the drivers at any moment to help tha latter to win a concession foe their struggling families, "We are not anxious for a strike," he said, "but I am prepared to do everything and anything in this connection as the miners* agent. Concerted action, however, mutt be insisted upon."
