KABALA.
To the Editor. ® ir ,—Sfr. Ellis cannot refrain from abuse, either in speaking or writing, arid is a moral coward to attack Mr. Kelland, as he is well aware that gentleman cannot stay here to defend himself from Mr. Ellis and his scurrilous tongue. Mr. Ellis once posed as a '•'prophet," and told the "volunteers" that they would never be wanted, as war was a tiling of the past. Mr. Ellis told the audience the other nijrlit that he Would "eat" any Kabalistie book, ancient or modern, in existence. Now, as I have in my possession all the signs and symbols of Kabala, contained in the "Book of Saphah" in the Kosmon Bible, I now demand that Mr. Ellis shall, in the presence of the citizens of New Plymouth, eat this Kabalistic book at. once. If 'he fails to do so lie must sink into that ignorant obscurity from which he should never have emerged!— I am, etc., PA.XTH.iaST.
