The Coal Conference has resume# in closed doors. It is understood that each aide made counter proposals, which/ were unaccepted. Finally Mr, Hiughea temporarily adjourned the conference to allow of the consideration of th<f Government's proposal. Melbourne, Not. 17. : A conference of miners' represent!* lives decided to call aggregate meet* ings in all districts 'on Monday, and take a ballot on the question of immediate resumption, in accordance with Mr. Hughes's proposal, and if the pre posal is accepted work will be resuaMf} * on Wednesday or Thursday.
