Sir, —The head official jf .lie Somen's Union congratulated the Inverninent on the firm stand taken jver '.lie butter-fat tax; yet I have not seen any congratulations from this gentleman on the rise of meat prices for home consumption and export, and perhaps he doesn't take any interest in the poor struggling sheep md attle kings. I .ice there is to be j, onference over the price of wool. It is ;o be hoped that the Government takes into consideration when fixing the price the increased cost of living to the squatter I owing to butter being Is 7d per lb;— I am, etc., ' RENOWN.
