THOSE CHIMES

To the Editor. Sir, —I liave noticed many pwplo have complained of the chimes in New Plymouth. I spent six weeks in bod in a hospital in the town, and the chimes were a source of the greatest pleasure to me, both night and day. I have lived and stayed in many of the biggest towns in the Old Country and have never heard anyone complain, neither have I ever heard of them being stopped at night.— I am, etc., A LOVER OF THE BEAUTIFUL WESTMINSTER CHIMES.
