CITIZENS' BAND.
f. OXCERT AT KAWAROA PARK. Yesterday's recital at Kaffaroa Park by tlie New Plyinoutli Citizens' Band was particularly enjoyable. The day was an ideal one, the attendance was splendid, and the .playing of the band was in keeping with the surroundings. Special mention might be made of the '■American Beauties" selection and also a very fine rendering of Jackson's ' ; Te Deum," the latter being well known to choirs and choral bodies, and deservedly applauded. A special request for a repetition of "Lead, Kindly Light," was complied with, and Hamilton Gray's popular sacred song, "The Goiden Pathway" was played as a cornet solo in a tasteful manner. Complimentary remarks were freely expressed relative to the improvements executed at the Park grounds, and the handsome addition to the pavilion. The collection realised £lO 0s Gd.
