A DISREPUTABLE HOUSE.
I OCCUPANTS SEVERELY DEALT ' WITH. By Telegraph.—Press Association, [ Auckland, Yesterday. Under the war regulations the police v >-t night raided what is known as a ".shilling a night" lodging house in Federal Street, and arrested sixteen men, and two women occupants. This morning Purvis Graham, aged 03, on,a charge of keeping a house of ill-fame .was sentenced to twelve months imprisonment; Margaret Lange, resident in the house to nine months'; Agnes Batliursl, also a resident, to 0 months' imprisonment. Four others were sentenced to one month, and one man, on a charge of vagrancy, was sentenced to si:: months' imprisonment.
