LONDON WOOL SALES. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Received Nov. 2, 5.3 p.m. London, Nov. 1. At the wool sales the bulk of the consisted of slipes, wherefor bidding was very keen, and prices bard. Greasy crossbreds were very firm at recent prices, and those for merino were maintained. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named: —Meremere, top lOd, average I'7-Yjd; Annedale, 20'/ £ d and 10 T / S dj Owhaoka, 3U'/ 2 d and 2?%d. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Received Nov. 2. 10.1 r > p.m. Sydney, Xov. 2. Oats.—Algerian feeding, 2s 4d to 2s sd; milling, 2s 7d; Tasmanian (white) 2s Gd to 2s Sd. Barley—3s 3d to 3s Od. Maize—3s fid to 3s lOd. Potatoes. —Tasnninians, £6 10s to £9 10s. Onions.—£4 10s to £5. At the wool sales there was a keen demand for good merinos, which improved in price by 1\ per cent. Crosslircds fetched 24:} d, a record. Received Nov. 2, 10.1.") p.m. Melbourne, Nov. 2, The sales for better class merino crossbreds were distinctly dearer. The demand for inferior improved. Received Nov. 2, 10,15 p.m. Adelaide. Nov. 2. Oats.—ls 0d to Is lid. HIDES. Received Nov. 3,1.30 a.m Melbourne, Nov. 2. Hides.—Fair supplies and better competition, prices being practically unchanged.
