SUCCESS - FIERCE FIGHTING Received Nov. 1, 8.20 p.n London, Oct. 31. A Russian communique states:—We. repulsed a series of attacks south of Brssczany, in the direction of Bamailan. Wo captured two villages, and repuised attacks at Rusteni, in the Prado Valley. There is fierce fighting at Kimpoiung, on the,left bank of the Alt, where the Roumanians continue to press the enemy northwards of the Jin Valley. HUN TREATMENT. I Received Nov. 1, 10 p.m. Amsterdam, .N T ov. I. A number of Russian officers have beei | placed in special camps for severe treatment, as a reprisal for the alleged illtreatment of German prisoners in Russia. Received Nov 1, 8 nm. Copenhagen, Not. 1, The National Tidende states that a Russian prisoner escaped across the border into Denmark. German guards pursued and beat the Russian senseless. Danish farmers attempted to interfere, but tile Germans threatened to shoot, and dragged the Russian to German soil.
