Heavy rains, with light finow on Mt. Egmor.t/ fel| oa the 10th, 13th and 24th. Hail fell or, the lowlands on the 18th. Torrential rain occurred on the lfith, lasting 7J hours. The general cloud display of the month was very fine, the. .average or mean being 4 per. day. Fine sr.nset3 were observed < ): l the 13th, '<2im\, 23.-d, 20th and 27th. There were jio earthquakes noted during the ma.-.th. Following are the general records observed: Maximum thermometer, 72dcg. on 12th, OOdeg. on 2nd and 23th. ' Minimum thermometer, 57dc-g. on 7 days, OOdeg. on 5 days. Maximum wet-bulb, OOdeg. on 12th, 4Gdeg. on 31st. Minimum wet-bnib, 53deg, on two day.}, 41deg on 19th, and 31st. Terrestrial thermometer, SOdcg. on three days, 3Sdog on 31st. Solar radiator (sun's heat), 157deg on 12th, 12Sdeg. on Cth, Sunnhine recorder, 12hr. .'ifimin. on 31st, 4onii». on 28th, total 138 hr. 30inin. The wind blew from tlie l.ortli on one day, north-east two days, south-east eight days, south three day 3, west two days, south-west 15 days. We will f.oon be adding an anemometer to the station, which will enable us to record the force and velocity of tlr: wind daily.
