IRELAND.

MR. REDMOND'S APPEAL. HOME RULE AND TRUST IN IRISH. CONSTITUTIONAL RALLy NEEDED. Received Oct. 31, 12.30 (~ Tendon, Oct. 30. Mr. Redmond .speaking at Sligo, appealed to the Government to put Home Rule into operation and trust the Irish people. One great act of British statesmanship would, lie contended, do more towards winning the war than the alliance of half-a-dozen neutrals. All the Irish rights can be won by constitutional action, therefore, the first need is to rally the constitutional movement. He warned Irishmen that nothing would imperil Ireland's position but sheer madnets on the part of Ireland herself.
