' ROUMANIAN SUCCESSES. IMPORTANT CAPTURES. "WELCOME REINFORCEMENTS ARRIVE. .ivod October 29, 5.30 p.rr. I Bucharest, October 23. A communique states:—We retook Pisoul, in the Trolus Valley. The enemy fled in disorder. We also drove back the enemy at Uzul Valley, taking 900 prisoners, and capturing a great quantity of booty. We commenced an attack on P.uzie Valley, where fighting still continues. Three hundred prisoners have been captured in the Dragos.avele region. We vigorously attacked tlie enemy in the Jiul Valley', and completely vanquished him. The offensive ontinues. We took *0 prisoners, three guns, and 16 machine-guns. The enemy left a thousano dead on the field. Tlie position at the Dobrudja is unchanged. Paris, October 2S. Le Petit 'Parisicne states that important reinforeemenots have arrived at both Roumanian fronts. MOTHER!- AND LEAVING CONSTANZA. . POiSONIiD SWEETS DROPPED, STOBES DESTROYED. Odessa, October 27. The English, Russian and French Consuls have arrived here. They were among the last to leave Constan'za. The last train left for Cernoda, when the enemy was already bombarding the line. Despite the ceaseless heavy bombardment of the port tlie Russian 'sailors, who remained after the troops and population had gone, did the bravest work in burning the huge grain elevators and stores of cereals, flour and oil. Refugees state that enemy aeroplanes dropped proclamations in the towns ex-i-.crting the Roumanians not to be afraid, as the invaders were friends. They also dropped packets of poisoned sweets, bearing false names intended to denote a Russian origin. ITALIAN ADVANCf », ! CENTRAL ALBANIA EVACUATED. Rome, October 27. The Italian advance through Albania continues methodically towards Macedonia. The Italians are adapting the roads for auto traffic. The Bulgars and Auotrians have evacuated Central- Albania. ROUMANIANS REPULSE ATTACKS ADVANCE IN UZUL VALLEY, RETIREMENT AT PIU Beeeived Oct. 28, 3.5 p.m. London, Oct. 27. A Roumanian communique states: We realised violent attacks at Tulghes, iieaz in Trotus Valley. We continue to advance in the Uzul valley. Fighting is proceeding south-west of Prcde.il. We repulsed a violent attack in the Paravatz valley, in the region of Dragohivel. We also repulsed attacks west of Alt. We withdrew from the Piu va'ley towards the southern exit of the pass. BAD WEATHER CONTINUES. Beeeived Oct. 20, 5.5 p.m. Salonika, Oct. 2S. A communique states: Bad weather continues to hinder operations. ENEMY DBIVEN BACK. - Received Oct. 20, 5.35 p m. London, Oct. 28. A British Salonika communique •states: The. enemy attempted to seize Oiranli, but were" driven back. Bad weather is seriously hampering operations this week. SERBIAN SUCCESSES Received October 29, 5.5 p.m. London, October SS. A Serbian official report states: We captured several enemy? trenches, and advanced somewhat on tho left bank of tht Cerna. Bain continues to hamper our operations. HINDENBURG'S PLAN. Borne, October 27. A correspondent of the Idea Nazionaie at Berne has been postively informed (hat Hindenburg's plan is to eliminate Ji'.'umania and then strongly assail Italy. SEVERE FIGHT FOR MONASTIR. London, Oct. 27. The Daily Chronicle's Athens correspum'.ent states that the battle for Monastir is unabated. The continual arrival of enemy reinforcements makes the struggle very severe and likely to last some time. Despite the push against Roumania the Bulgars have been able to send men from the Danube to Monastir. \ RUSSIAN SUCCESSESLondon, October 27. A Russian communique says:—The Erumanians on the west frontier of Moldavia have captured Bolian, north-west of Okua, and the Pirtra Botkul heights, south-west of Okua. Tlie Roumanians arrested an enemy offensive on the Vahkhia frontier. There is fierce fighting on both banks of tlie Giu. The enemy is attacking on the whole front of the Dobrudja. The Russo-Bouman-ians are resting and returning north of tlie Hirsova-Kacapioj line. HOW CONSTANZA WAS LOST. Petrograd, October 27. ?'he immediate cause of the fall of Cir.i'tanza was the reinforcement of Mackensen's army by three divisions, bringing the total to ten, whereof one was German, four Turkish, and the rest Bulgarian. WHAT THE BULGARIANS SAY. Rome, October 27 A Bulgarian communique savs tha enemy in the Dobrudja is precipitately retreating towards louleha Barsobo.
