INCENDIARISM.
ANOTHER SYDNEY FIRE. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association, Sydney. Oct 24. 'A Tiig fire is raging in -John Conneirs grocery warehouse, in Kent Street, and there are indications that it will be entirely gutted. Sydney, Oct. 23. The three top floors in Oonnell's, grocery warehouse have been gutted. The police announce that they received a telephone message stating that it was caused by the I.YV.W. The damage cannot be ascertained at present. Received Oct. 25, 0:53 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 25. At Connell's fire the damages are estimated at over £70,'000. The police are convinced that it was of incendiary origin, owing to many suspicious eircumstawes. During the fire an explosion occurred, leaving a smell of gunpowder and gelignite. The water supply was- deliberately cut off several times, and the outbreak resembled other mysterious fires. The building was not fitted with sprinklers, and the alarm was not connected with the brigade Two attempts to fire a block in King Street were frustrated. At them resin, spirit, and candles were used.
