> THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN,, Mr Bracegirdlc, of Kaimata, has Veceived word that his son, Rifleman Wilfred Bracegirdle, who left with the advance guard of Lord Liverpool's Own, and who has been acting as a sniper in France, was wounded in the left arm and right thigh. Mr. Braeegirdle's family has been' well represented at the front, another son being at the front; two nephews, Norman Otto and P. Vercoe, have made the supreme sacrifice, and two others, B. Vercoe and W. Bracegirdle, of Waitara ' road, have been wounded. * Rifleman A. E. Raynor, of Inglewood, wounded,- is a nephew of Mr. J. R. Hill, of New Plymouth. He has four brothers in the King's uniform. Mr. A. Milne has received a cable from his son, Private Keith Milne, who was wounded a few days ago, that he has arrived in London and is well. Word has been received that Sergeant Darcy Penwarden, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Penwarden, of Oakura, was wounded in the side on the 10th. Rifleman H. N. Rowe, son of Mr. Thomas Rowe, Bell Block, was wounded on October 1. Mr. W. A. Bamsey, of New Plymouth, received word on Friday that his brother, Rifleman A. H. Bamsey (Machine-gun Section, Bth Reinforcements) is reported missing, believed killed. Another brother, the. youngest, was killed last April in France, having gone across in Kitchener's Army.

In the casualty lists published on Saturday appeared the following Taranaki names:—Killed in action: Corporal John Holmes Crighton (A, N. Crigbton, Ha wera); Rifleman Cornelius Volkert (Mrs. C Volkert, Ngaere). Wounded: Rifleman Chas. Cathro Hogg (Mrs, A. R. Standish, New Plymouth); Rifleman Harry John Laurent (J. 11. Laurent, Lake Road, Ilawcra) Rifleman Henry N. Rowe (Thos. Rowe, Bell Block); Private Henry E. Brabant (F. J. Brabant, Waitara). Wounded, remaining with unit: Sapper Percy Blytli Whitcombe (P. S. Whitcombe, Fitzroy). Wounded, rejoined unit: Sergeant-Major Royden Copeland (C. Copeland, Douglas). Another soldier, well-known in Toko and Stratford, has been killed in action, in the person of Private Joe Scarlett, who left with the l!th Reinforcements. The deceased, who was only 1!) years of age and very popular in the district, was a native of Isleworth, Middlesex (England), where his mother now resides. He was formerly in the employ of Mr. A. A. Piper, of Toko, and left there to join the Colors. .
